Every mother is initiated by Motherhood.
Every mother is initiated.
None of us walk through untouched.
🤎 For some, it begins at conception…
the heartbreaking dance between hope and blood,
month after month.
🤎 For some, it’s in the partnership…
abandoned, unseen, rising alone.
🤎 For some, it’s the pregnancy…
a body once vibrant, now surrendered to what feels like a body betraying her.
🤎 For some, it’s the birth…
violated, silenced, stitched up,
told “at least the baby’s fine” when nothing feels fine.
🤎 For some, it’s the baby’s health…
the days, weeks, months spent hospital bedside,
dreaming of the life she thought she’d be living.
🤎 For some, it’s postpartum…
a silent descent into darkness,
looping thoughts only found in your worst nightmares.
🤎 For some, it’s the long becoming…
the gradual release of who she once was,
and the quiet, messy process of loving the woman who is now.
The entry points differ.
But initiation finds every mother.
Please do not mistake smiles for ease.
Every mother has carried her battles,
no matter how different they may seem.
Motherhood will break you open.
And in that breaking,
you will meet your deepest self.

This is the work I hold, gently and without judgment.
I walk beside mothers as they remember their strength, reclaim their softness, and rise anew. 🙏
